Trio of Figurines Course

Three incredible figurine tutorials in one fantastic online course!

ABOUT THIS COURSE

Have you ever wondered how other people make gorgeous Powertex figurines but yours never go quite the same way

Perhaps you love the look of them but haven't dared have a go yourself yet!

Or maybe you would like to create figurines to sell but need them to stand out as your own, unique design.

Features are key in figurines; whether it's a pair of stunning wings, the delicate addition of hands, beautiful colouring or the use of bold fabric, they all hold the secret to creating a show-stopping piece.

If your experience of Powertex is limited to trying to recreate what you have seen others make, without support on knowing the 'how', you will struggle unnecessarily.

It might seem that experienced Powertex artists simply dip some fabric in Powertex and create amazing figures easily.

Then you try and it never goes quite to plan, no matter what you do.

The thing is, Certified Powertex Tutors and fabric scultping artists have lots of knowledge and skill already in their creative bank. What seems effortless is only possible because of their understanding of the tricks of the Powertex trade!

Figurines hold many of the best kept Powertex secrets.

Can you relate to any of this?

  • You really want to create a Powertex figure but don't know where to start
  • You have an idea of the basics but would like a comprehensive, fail-proof, step-by-step guide
  • You've tried a couple of figurine projects but they haven't gone as well as you'd hoped
  • Your figurines look the same as everyone elses but you don't know how to take them to the 'next level'
  • You have had limited success when trying to create wings
  • Adding colour to your figure often goes awry
  • You have seen the plaster hands but don't know how to use them
  • There's some gorgeous fabric sitting in your stash that would look perfect on a figurine but you've never tried using Transparent Powertex before

If you have uncertainty around any part of your figurine project, you will find you don't have the confidence to complete it in the way you would like to.

It's not you or lack of ability, you are simply lacking the knowledge of the tips and tricks of the Powertex trade.

A lot of people learn the basics of fabric sculpting then struggle to create the kind of figurines they want to.

Although you might have an idea about the basics, it can be challenging to translate those ideas into projects. And don't be fooled, even if you're a hardcore Powertex Addict, you still need knowledge of the tricks of the trade shown in these Trio of Figurines tutorials to complete a wide range of gorgeous figures.

The good thing is that these 'tricks of the trade' are things you can easily learn when given the right tools.

Let's unveil the mystery behind;

  • Wings - learn how to create incredible, show-stopping wings the way YOU want to
  • Colour - understand what will work well on your figurine and how to apply gorgeous colours
  • Hands - take your figurine to the next level by incorporating hands, I show you how
  • Fabric - use stunning fabric in part or all of your figurine project to keep people guessing "how did you do that"
  • Props - include unique features in your figurine design with props to create a 'scene'

In this Trio of Figurines course you will learn everything you need to know about creating beautiful Powertex figures.

Incorporating a whole range of techniques, you will be given in-depth guidance through carefully thought-out step-by-step videos of each stage of three different figurine projects.

Three separate tutorials will show you how to create your own

Angel
Maasai Warrior
African Lady

You will develop the knowledge to go on and create any style of figurine using the techniques learned throughout this course.
 The tutorials cover four main features;

  • Wings - how to create any shape and size of wings whether it's a fairy or angel figurine and what is the best fabric to use for beautiful, ethereal results
  • Hands - how to include hands in your figurine, why they are an amazing addition and what to do with them!
  • Colour - choose the right colours for your figurine project, experiment outside of your comfort zone and how to use dry-brushing to stunning effect
  • Transparent Powertex - incorporate bold and beautiful fabrics into your figurines, learn how to make a 'statement piece' with the secret ingredient of Transparent Powertex

Unlock the power of Powertex Universal Medium as a Fabric Hardener and gain an in-depth knowledge of fabric sculpting figurine projects.

In this course of three different tutorials, I share with you all there is to know about creating beautiful Powertex figurines.

It might seem that everything other creatives do is down to talent, but that 'talent' is developed through experience and knowledge.

It will be yours too!

Expect lots of information, clear demonstrations and straight forward, practical guidance for each of the three figurines that you can easily transfer to new projects in the future, as well as recreating the ones in this course. You will become a figurine expert!

About Me

My name is Michele and I am a Certified Powertex Tutor. I am a mum to two little boys and I live on the Warwickshire/ Worcestershire border in a beautiful rural setting where I am lucky enough to have my own small studio.

I run a monthly online membership called Powertex With Michele and host regular in-person Art and Craft classes for both adults and children incorporating a whole range of different creative activities.

I was previously the Office Manager for Powertex UK where I developed a great understanding of Powertex and the various needs of Powertex Addicts, indeed, I am a HUGE fan of Powertex and  I love to share everything I know about it, I can talk about Powertex until the cows come home. I know what I needed as a powertex Addict myself and can still remember the 'liquid joy' of that first discovery.
